Rihanna for River Island

I have good news for the girls who like RiRi’s look. Last saturday Rihanna showed her debut collection for River Island at the London Fashion week. The collection is sexy, edgy and sassy just like Rihanna. Thigh high splits, crop tops, tie dye, shirts tight around the waist, all items that RiRi would wear herself, dominated the line. Rihanna for River Island is available at the River Island stores and online on March 5th with prices started at €25.

Rihanna for River Island Fashion show

And the winner is?!?

I’m a little late with this Grammy`s blog…I know!!!
You girls have probably seen all the red carpet pics already, so I´m not going to show all of them. But I want to share my favorites and the ones I did not like. Sow I made a FWA Top 3 Grammy´s best dressed 2013 and a Grammy`s worst dressed 2013.

Grammy´s best dressed 2013
1. Rihanna

ri1

ri2I’m so in love with this dress. RiRi looks like a princess.
She is wearing Azzedine Alaïa.

2. Jennifer Lopezjlo1 jlo2She did it again. Remember the green Versace dress, this one is less revealing, but still very sexy. This sexy diva is wearing an Anthony Vaccarello.

3. Kelly Rowland

kel1
Miss Kelly is looking very glamorous in her Georges Chakra Couture gown.
It’s a little naughty, but yet so classy. I Like it!

4. Beyonce…Yes I know, it was supposed to be a top 3!!!
Bey1

Bey2
I was very disappointed cause she usually goes all out, so I was expecting something really special, but she kept it simple. That is why she did not make it to my top 3, but she still looked very beautiful in her Osman Jumpsuit.

Grammy`s worst dressed 2013
1. Florence WelchFlor1Flor2I mean seriously, do I even have to explain myself?!? This dress can speak for itself. Dragons don’t belong on the red carpet. Florence is wearing a Givenchy.

2. Adele
adele

adele1Adele looks very pretty, but I don’t like the dress. Adele wears a lot of black clothing and I get why they wanted her to look different, but this is too much. It’s a Valentino.

3. Ashanti
Ashanti2 ashanti1
I don’t hate the dress, but I don’t like it either. It does not do her body justice and it’s too revealing. There is noting wrong with showing a little skin, but I can see the girl’s panties. Ashanti this is not the way too get your boo thang back. The dress is from Tony Ward Couture.

Miss Jessie’s: The best darn curl cremes period

I’m mixed and I have a head full of kinky curls. I love my natural hair, but I’m not always happy with it, especially not on wash and go days. I have a lot of hair and it’s really thick. I’m looking for the right products for my curls like forever. Curly hair is often very dry and the shrinkage is crazy. I think I’ve tried almost every curly hair product I could get my hands on. Mixed Chicks, Kinky Curly, Seda Green, Andrelon Perfect Curl, Elvive Hydra Curl etc. I’ve tried them all. Some of them just don’t work on my hair and others look great in the beginning, but as soon as my hair is used to the product, it gets useless. But I’m not the kind that gives up easily, so I’ve tried something new!

Miss Jessie’s Curly pudding and BabyButtercreme.

Miss Jessie’s Curly Pudding is a styling cream. It´s the most famous product in the Miss Jessie´s line. The curly pudding is supposed to transform shrunken kinks to super shiny stretched out curls with soft holds. Just what I need!!!

So this is what I did. I washed my hair with a shampoo, detangled it with a wide tooth comb and conditioner, then I deep conditioned with my homemade sheabuttercream. After that I rinsed out my hair. I don´t use a towel to dry my hair, cause it makes my hair frizzy. I always wrap my hair with an old t-shirt. I separated my hair in 4 workable sections and then start applying the Curly Pudding with my fingers thru small sections of my damp hair. I sealed my hair with Jamaican Black Castor Oil and let my hair air dry. My hair takes a whole day to dry, especially with the Curly Pudding.

My hair is soft, the curl definition is great and it doesn’t look dry at all. The shrinkage isn’t as bad as usual and I have less frizz. So, I’m happy!!!

Miss Jessie’s Babybuttercream is a rich moisturizing cream but doubles as a styling cream. Great for any natural styling technique (coiling, two strand twist, fingerstyling, etc).

I use the babybuttercream on second day hair. This is my second day routine. I use a mix of water and conditioner in a water spray to damp my hair. Then I part my hair in small sections and apply the Babybuttercream. Note: I do not comb my hair, I detangle it with my fingers. Combing it will leave me with a big afro a la Foxy Cleopatra (Beyonce). I seal my hair with the Jamaican Black Castor oil and I’m ready to go. The Babybuttercreme leaves my hair looking healthy and shiny. It’s a really good moisturizer, and that is a good thing, cause my hair is really dry.

I’m happy with these products and I will continue to buy them. As long as I got the money that is, cause they are not cheap. The Curlypudding cost €24,95 for 8oz and the Babybuttercreme cost €34,95. These are some really expensive products, but they work. You can start with a 2oz jar for €9,50 and see if you like it. Use the storelocator to find a store nearby that sells the Miss Jessie’s line.
